Jog waterfalls
Jog Falls is the highest waterfalls in India and the second highest waterfalls in Asia located in Shimoga
district of Karnataka state . The river Sharavati cascades down 292 m. in four distinct falls
- Raja, Rani, Rover and Rocket. Jog falls is one of the major attractions in karnataka tourism
Courtallam waterfalls
It is situated at an elevation of about 167 meters on the western ghats in the Thirunelveli district.
The nine waterfalls here are Peraruvi, Chtraruvi, Shenbage Devi falls, Thenaruvi,
Aintharuvi, Puliaruvi, Pazhaya Courtallam Aruvi, Puthu Aruvi and Pazhathottaruvi.
The waters of Courtallam is believed to have medicinal properties as they run through a
forest of herbs. The best season June to September.

There is a temple dedicated to Lord Siva which contains many inscriptions about
Chola and Pandya kings. Another temple called Chitra Sabha dedicated to Lord
Nataraja is decorated with paintings of rural deities and devotees, puranic stories and
religious events. The Sabha is one of the five Sabhas where Lord Nataraja performed the
Cosmic Dance.
Hognekkal water falls
Hognekkal Falls is a picturesque holiday spot on the banks of Cauvery river. The best
season is July-August. It is approx. 115 kms from Salem, Tamil Nadu.
Kiliyur water falls
Kiliyur waterfalls is a waterfall in the servarayan hill range in the eastern ghats,Tamil Nadu. It is 3km from
the Yercaud lake. The best time to visit this place is immediately after the monsoons. The surplus water from
the yercaud lake and the other sources in the Shevaroys hills fall 300 feet into the Kiliyur valley.
