The Beach here is one of the most beautiful beaches in Kerala with a long strentch of sand and sun. It is ideal for sun bath.

Bekal is the largest fort in Kerala, approx. 200 kms. north Kozhikode. The fort nearly 16 hectares in extent virtually juts into the sea with a beautiful bay on its Southern side. The fortifications of the nearly 350 year old semicircular construction with an imposing frontage are still intact as an architectural monument of the archaeological survey of India. At the entrance of the fort, one could see a mosque and a Hanuman Temple adjacent to each other as symbols of perfect religious harmony. The fort belonged in ancient times to the Kadampa dynasty and later under the Kolathiri Rajas and of Vijayanagar empire, Tipu Sultan captured it in the 18th century. There is a monumental place whereTipu Sultan lived and kept his sword prior to his overthrow by the English East India Company in 1799. The fort is situated at a height of 43 m above sea level facing the North. There is a large tower in the middle of the fort at a height of 10 m and with a circumference of 27 m; from this point one can see the entire Fort and beyond it the sea on the one side and lush green valley and undulating blue montains on the other side.

Kovalam

situated approx. 16 kms south of Trivandrum city is one of the best beaches in India. The location affords facilities for safe sea bath. A rocky promountary jutting into the sea render the beach safe for sea bathing even in the roughest weather.

Kappad

The historic beach of Kappad is situated 18 kms from Kozhikode. Vasco de gama, the Potuguese navigator landed here on 20th may, 1498 with 170 sailors. A pillar with the inscription "vasco de gama landed here, Kappakkadavu in the year 1498" stands on the beach.

Varkala

Approx. 37 kms south of Kollam and 52 kms north of Trivandrum, is known for its beautiful beaches. Varkala is a beautiful sea side resort with mineral water springs.

Kanyakumari

The southern most tip of India is 90 kms away from Thiruvananthapuram. It is the place of the confluence of the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, where one can enjoy the sunrise and the unique experience of watching the sunset and moon rise simultaneously on a full moon evening.

Vivekananda Rock Memorial: This memorial is on a rocky island which projects from the sea about 200 mtrs from the shoreline. The great Indian philosopher Swami Vivekandnada came here in 1892. The ferry service to the Rock Memorial is available from 8 am to 4 pm., boat fee Rs.20/- p.p. and entry fee to the Memorial is Rs.10/-- p.p.

Ullal

situated 5 kms away from Mangalore, this is one of the best beaches of Karnataka. It faces to the Arabian sea and hence offer the visitor an incomparable view. Ullal is a silvery beach commanding breathtaking views of the sunset, especially, when viewed through the casuarina groves. Ullal is a lovely spot for those seeking holiday by the sea. With its picturesque casuarina groves, beach cottages and a swimming pool one can spend tranquil hours seeking peace in this paradise.

Elliots

Formerly a popular bathing beach, today, it is the favourite rendezvous of the younger generation. Good roads, pavements, illuminated sands, makes a visit to this beach a real pleasure.

Marina

Marina beach is located on the eastern side of Chennai, adjoining the Bay of Bengal. Watching the sun set and rise from the beach is an enthralling experience. Though bathing and swimming can be dangerous, as the undercurrent is very strong, even then people come for swimming here. In the evenings, the beach is virtually a fair ground with various kinds of entertainment and food stalls lining the beach. With its natural sandy beauty and spacious promenade and beautiful gardens, the beach is a major attraction for tourists visiting Chennai. It has acquired a South Indian aura with vendors hawking wares ranging from shell and glass baubles to kites and fruit juices. The Marina, however, is large enough to accommodate all visitors as well as the hawkers and is often the venue for important state functions.

Muzhuppilangadu

Muzhuppilangadu Beach, a virgin drive-in beach just 8 kms north of Thalasseri, where you may enjoy swimming full day. (meals are available at nearby Resort).
